- There is a $5 per couple entry fee.
Prizes will be awarded for scores, closest to the pin and skins
If two courses or more courses are played, the total prize money pool will be divided equally among the courses, and each course will have its own prize pool for scores, closest to the pin and skins. Only 1st and 2nd place prizes will be awarded for scores; Low net score will receive 30%, and 2nd place will receive 20%. Closest to the pin will pay 15%, and 35% will go to the skin pot.
Every effort will be made to equalize the number of foursomes scheduled on each course, however, regardless of the number of courses and the number of couples playing on a given day, the prize money pool for each course will be calculated by dividing the total amount of fees received by the number of courses played.
As an example, if there are 7 foursomes (14 couples) playing over two courses, each course will have a $35 prize pool. Low score on each course would get $10.50, 2nd place gets $7, closest to the pin gets $5.25, and $12.25 would be split among the skins.
Skins will be awarded every week on each course by comparing raw scores for each hole. The couple with the lowest score on each hole wins the skin. There can be only one skin awarded per hole so ties will cancel out and not win a skin. Should no skins be won over the 9 holes, the money allocated to the skin pot will be equally added to the prize for 1st and 2nd place and closest to the pin prize. If no one wins closest to the pin, then the money allocated to the closest to the pin pot will be added only to the low and 2nd/place money pool in equal portions. There will be no carryover of prize money to the following week (see NOTE below).
It is expected that anytime 12 or more couples sign up to play, the group will be split into two or more reservations/courses. Less than 12 couples, then all will play on one course, except during peak times where it may be necessary to request multiple courses due to high point averages among the groups. - There needs to be a minimum of 5 couples playing/finishing on a course in order to have prizes awarded for that course. If less than 5 finish, then the players will receive credit/refund for their fees.
NOTE: With handicaps, scores are expected to be competitive/close. In order to avoid dilution of prizes, prizes for 2nd place may be eliminated, IF there is a 2-way tie for 1st place.
If any non-couple pairings play, they may participate only in the closest-to-the-pin contest, at an entry fee of $1 each. These fees will be then added to the prize for closest to the pin, and not the overall pot or skins pot.

HOLE-IN-ONE POOL:
The cost is $1 per person. The pool prize is awarded to anyone who scores a hole-in-one while playing in a scheduled Buttonwood Heights Mixed Scramble, regardless of whether the round is completed by the individual, or whether the round qualifies as a completed round for prizes per rule 10.1 on our website, as long as it is witnessed by another individual. That person must have already contributed to the pool prior to achieving the hole in one.
Should more than one person score a hole-in-one on the same day while playing in the Buttonwood Heights Mixed Scramble (regardless of course played), then the pot will be divided among all those who scored a hole-in-one on that day.
For purposes of this pool, a "hole in one" occurs when the golfer gets his or her golf ball into the cup on the green with just one stroke. That means hitting the ball directly from the teeing ground into the hole. His or her score for the hole is 1. That person will also be awarded a skin in accordance with the rules above for skins.
Once the pool prize has been awarded, a new pool will be established.
